ADMISSION GUIDE

We understand that choosing the right school is an important and sometimes complex decision for both parents and children. You will be supported in this by our experienced Admissions leader who will be there to answer any questions and help you navigate anything that is unfamiliar and provide guidance and reassurance during your admissions journey.

Many parents take the opportunity to arrange a personal visit to Tabernacle School as a first introduction to the school or as a second visit following an open event. A personal visit provides an ideal occasion during which to get a feel for the school, meet particular staff members whose subject holds a particular interest for your child, or see classes in session and to ask individual questions.

WHAT TO EXPECT

A personal visit usually lasts about one hour and begins with a tour of the school with a member of our senior leadership, followed by a one-to-one, half an hour meeting with the Headteacher. If you are seeking a place in 2023, we would recommend a personal visit at the soonest possible opportunity.

ADMISSIONS PROCESS

1. COMPLETE A REGISTRATION FORM

Each completed application form will be considered in accordance with the school’s admission policy.

2. VISIT THE SCHOOL

 A visit to the school is the best way to get a feel of the environment via a personal tour or one of our open events. This will be followed by a one-to-one, half an hour meeting with the Headteacher.

3. CONFIRMATION OF PLACE

Upon acceptance Parents and students are expected to:

  • Sign and comply with the school’s terms and conditions (parents);

  • Sign and comply with the school’s behaviour management policy;

  • Comply with the school’s attendance policy;

  • Ensure students comply with the schools dress code;

  • Ensure students strictly refrain from the use of tobacco, in any form;

  • Refrain from the use of alcohol, drugs and the use of offensive language;

  • Actively support school events.
